4th grade guest bloggers, Kade and Wyatt give us a perspective about Skyping with Peru
Today was the first time that we Skyped Mrs. Steimle's sister who is teaching kids in Peru. Peruvians and Haitians are really alike because they both eat really different things. Peruvians eat guinea pigs and Haitians eat cats and goats. Peruvians and Haitians both don't eat very many American foods. When we asked the Peruvian kids what they ate most of it wasn't hamburgers or pizza! That surprised us the most! The Peruvian kids that we Skyped with were wearing hats because you can get easily sunburned when you live up high in the mountains. Haitians speak Kreyol, and Peruvians speak Quechua and Spanish. There are a lot of animals in Haiti and Peru. In Peru it is summer right now and it's about 80 degrees! Haiti and Peru are similar in a lot of ways and we can't wait to Skype with them again!
