Rooted in the competitive dance rituals practiced from traditionally African-American sororities and fraternities, Stepping is a form of expressive dance that involves using the body as an instrument. It includes hand claps, voice and foot stomps. BPE 5th graders celebrated this tradition by creating their own dance led by our awesome music teachers, Ms. Hatch and Ms. Revering.
Nowadays it's so simple to whip out your phone and take an impromptu video of something that happens around you! Much to BPE's surprise, 5th graders shared what they were learning about in their music classes and Ms. Williamson was able to capture it on her phone!
